Prainito Pediatric Therapy has been owned and operated since 2006 by Aimee Prainito, Occupational Therapist, treating special needs children from birth in their home, daycare, or private school. Aimee graduated from Touro College in NY in 1991 with both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters of Arts degree in Occupational Therapy, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree from SUNY Stony Brook in Psychology,indicating over 25 years of pediatric experience. She is registered and licensed in the state of GA, after working in New York and Arizona. Aimee has extensive knowledge of Normal Childhood Development, Home Care, Early Intervention (both professionally and personally), School based therapy including the IEP process, NDT, Feeding and Oral Motor concerns, Sensory Integration Dysfunction, Executive Function Disorder, Infant Massage, Hand Writing without tears Program, and Hand Therapy. She has experience in treating the most profound severe child to the highest functioning child that includes but is not limited to Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Mitochondrial Disorder, Traumatic Brain Injury, Seizures, Feeding Disorders, Hand injuries, Behavior Disorders and many more. Aimee taught pediatric courses, has given presentation and supervised OT students. She was on the Countywide Evaluation Team in NY. She continues to take postgraduate courses to increase her knowledge, and to broaden her therapy skills. Aimee is also the co-founded/CEO of Exceptional Kids Athletic sInce 2012 with Jonn Warde and her late husband Scott Prainito.It is a nonprofit 501c3 company that provides sports programs to special needs children from 4-22years with any physical/cognitive disability in Gwinnett County.
